On March 8th, 2014, on the premises of the Cuban Nazarene Seminary, a women’s retreat was held. Two hundred women answered the call for a time of learning and celebration of the International Women’s Day.

Sister Irene Jimenez Garita, counselor and lecturer of Family Care Ministry of the Mesoamerica Region, shared with the women the theme “The Samaritan woman, a radical change.” It was a special time of learning, celebration and thanksgiving for the blessing of being women.

Each group of women represented their church with special poems, acrostics, songs and more.

The celebration ended with a time of ministration on the altar, by the Holy Spirit. There was healing and some of the women accepted the gift of salvation and decided to follow Jesus.
