From March 22nd to the 23rd, 2017, the 90th Barbados District Assembly was held at the Western Light Church of the Nazarene, in Bridgetown Barbados.

The assembly began with an opening service. On the second day of the assembly, Dr. Jerry Porter, General Superintendent in Jurisdiction, shared the word of God in a devotional time. There was also the election of a new Superintendent, since Dr. Orlando Seale, Superintendent until that moment, resigned from this position in order to minister in Trinidad and Tobago as the new President of the Caribbean Nazarene College (CNC), starting this new position on May 1st.

In the second election ballot, Rev. Martel Farley was elected as the new superintendent. Caribbean Field Strategy Coordinator, Rev. Alphonso Porter, prayed for him and his wife, Sister Beverly Farley.
