During the month of September, 144 children from the communities of Rodeo #1, Carbonera, Hermanos Martínez, Rioja and Melonar, received, school uniforms as part of the support that the Church of the Nazarene and the United House Foundation, give every year.

The delivery consisted of 144 uniforms, 30 pairs of shoes and a pair of scrolls to enhance the Carbonera School musical band.

The delivery took place during the celebration of the 159th anniversary of the Battle of San Jacinto and the 194th anniversary of Central America’s Independence. The children were able to participate in the national holidays wearing their new uniforms.

Parents, teachers and students expressed their gratitude to the Church and Brother Bob Moore, President of United House Foundation, who provided part of the funds.

Professor Sonia Jimenez of Rodeo #1 school said: “On behalf of all teachers, parents and students, we want to thank you greatly for bringing these much needed uniforms… May God bless you as you continue to support our school activities, since our parents lack may resources … ”

Pastor Merceditas Viscay said: “As a pastor, I feel fulfilled, I am very happy to see the joyful face of every child while receiving their uniform…”
