The event is of great importance to the local church since they have been affected by water scarcity.

The medical and dental group, Hands of Love, has visited Guatemala for over 10 years. For the past 5 years, they have visited the Church of the Nazarene in Raxruhá. Among the community projects that they developed was the drilling of the well, last year.

The group hired a Christian company whose ministry is drilling wells. After drilling 55 meters, pure, clean, clear water flowed, about 30 gallons per minute.

Now, the church is well provided with water for all its programs, including the Holistic Child Development Center, which serves about 150 children 3 times per week excluding Sundays.

Also, some church neighbors may obtain quality water at the church.

NCM Coordinator for CA-4 Field, Dr. Helmer Juárez, commented on the project: “We are confident that from this source will flow rivers of living water to show love to the community. We are very happy because it is a very rocky terrain where it is difficult to dig wells, but with the help of this machine, this has been possible. Glory to God!”

The next and 5th trip of this group will be March 20 to 30th.
