On the news, we recently heard about the refugee crisis due to the war in Syria. The Church of the Nazarene made a call to be of blessing by praying and giving. The Lord placed a burden in the heart of a person in the “House of Prayer” Church of the Nazarene in the Costa Rica Central District, which prompted the church to collect a love offering to bless those in need due to the crisis.
For a month, the church, with an average of 50 people, deposited offerings in piggy banks and at the end of the month, a group went through the community making a collection; people were interested in contributing. A total of just over $ 100 was collected, the offering was sent through the field office on October 20th 2015.
God bless this church from one of the smallest countries in the region, which has shown that we can all give and no matter how far we are, there are ways to love our neighbor.
