Fairview Village Church of the Nazarene in Pennsylvania USA visited El Progreso Church of the Nazarene in Panama to dedicate the construction of a building they have been working on together for four years to the Lord.

In February 2017 the Fairview Village Church began a partnership with the Church in El Progreso that included evangelism and construction work. During those 4 years, Fairview Village sent 5 groups to work on the construction of a two-story building with multipurpose rooms, a dining hall for the children of the Child Development Center and Sunday School children, and their music academy.

Also, during this time, they held Bible Schools, opened free medical clinics, among other activities.

“They were a tremendous support to our church and missions during this time with their donation of school bags and shoes for our children,” said Joél Bermúdez from Nazarene Communications in the country’s central district.

The last group comprised of 47 participants from Fairview and volunteers from El Progreso. Together they completed the painting and electrical work as well as other details. They also held Bible School in three communities ministering to more than 400 children.

They also opened a free medical clinic for 3 days in the El Progreso Church and the second time in the El Progreso School. In both cases, more than 300 people were treated.

Finally, the inauguration and dedication of the facilities were held. In attendance were David Bennett, Senior Pastor of the Fairview Village Church, Pastor Bruce Beatty, Pastor Kelly Yetter, Regional Director Dr. Carlos Saenz, and Field Strategy Coordinator Carlos de la Cruz.

Pastor Marisol de Arenas thanks the Fairview Village Church for their love, commitment, and dedication during these 4 years. She also thanked the El Progreso Church for their tremendous support.

“These were 4 years of great blessing where two different cultures came together as one people to do God’s work,” Joél Bermúdez said.
