From December 2nd to the 4th, 2016, a conference about “The Role of Children and Adolescents in a Globalized World” was held in the Dominican Republic for NCM in the Mesoamerica Central Field. The Central Field NCM Coordinator, Sister Paquita Bido and her team organized the conference.

It was a very profitable time for each participant since they were instructed and ministered by the following exhibitors: Rev. Nell Sweden, Global NCM Coordinator, Pastor Benny Sánchez, Fátima Genao of Unicef, Johnny Bido of International Justice Mission, Kleber Lora of Compassion International, Emily Armstrong of Mesoamerica Global Mission, Vivian Juárez of Child Sponsorship, Dhariana Balbuena of NCM Costa Rica, Rev. Sol Vergara and Marisol Arenas, of NCM Panama.

Among activities, plenary and devotional, the testimony of the change that God made in the life of a young assistant to a Holistic Center was shared and the testimony of the life transformation of baseball player Dámaso Marte, who works with young people and children.

The Lord ministered to participants as they learned new service strategies and were encouraged and challenged to continue working for children and youth. In addition, they had a special time of prayer for the children of the region and the world.
