From February 24th to the 27th, 2017, the Dominican Republic Central District held a Cross-Cultural Orientation Camp (CCO), at the Restoration House Church of the Nazarene in Bonao. A group of 22 people attended, with representatives from all districts of the country, in addition there was also a person that represented the Panama Central District and 4 people from Port of Prince, Haiti. The group learned about the church, missions, God’s call to service, how to support leaders and encourage others to work for the Lord.

The leadership team was comprised of the following:, Scott and Emily Armstrong, from the Mesoamerica Regional Genesis Project; Freya Galindo, also from Genesis; Elba Isabel and Alexandra Gautreaux. In addition they had the participation of sister Ana María Crocker, NMI Regional Coordinator, which was a great blessing for the group.

At the end of the event there was much joy, as the participants received the good news that the Church of the Nazarene made official its presence in three more countries; one of them, Curacao, in our Mesoamerica Region.
