Dominican Republic Central District NMI, SDMI and NYI conventions were held on Saturday January 9th, 2016, in the Alcarrizos Nazarene Seminary. They were blessed with a wonderful attendance of church leaders and delegates. Everything took place in a peaceful environment. District Superintendent, Rev. Ernesto Bathermy led the conventions, taking into account the motions and opinions of the elders, pastors and lay members . All the leadership is new and great changes and activation of the missions are expected.

Also, on Sunday January 10th, the remodeling of the Alma Rosa 1st sanctuary was held. The windows and the front of the sanctuary had not been remodeled since its construction in 1979. The altar also was rebuilt and expanded., The capacity of the temple went from 80 to 115 people. To celebrate, pastors and neighbors were invited, with an attendance of over 130 people.

Pray for the pastor of the church, Teodora Cuevas, Viuda Vargas that God will continue giving her strength and love to continue the work,. Also, pray for blessings on the Dominican Republic Central District.

Brother Joan Paulino said “We are committed to the Lord and the legacy of our brother René Acosta; the superintendent said during the conventions: Remind me of Rene every time you invite me to your churches, that way, it will help me remember the commitment I have made and how I should conduct myself with the same love, patience and respect he had for all ”
