The first of a series of Creative Evangelism Camps (CEC) was in San Pedro Sula, Honduras from April 12-14. The event is an initiative of the Mesoamerica Region Nazarene Youth International, along with the Caribbean area, to serve the NYI leadership in the North Central Area.

Thirty youth leaders from both districts in Honduras attended. They were challenged to serve youth in their contexts in creative ways without losing the essence of the gospel. They developed that emphasis by focusing on several themes using sports ministry. The themes were: urban evangelism, evangelism with humor, Biblical foundations of evangelism, and real life in the countries in Mesoamerica.

The same event was held in Guatemala City, Guatemala; Coban, Guatemala; and El Salvador.
