On Sunday June 21, 2015, the First Family Congress “In Your Hands Are My Times”, was held in the auditorium of the University of Panama organized by the NCM Panama.

The event began with a video presentation about the work that has been done in the Cinfa Centers (Children and Families Holistic Development Center). Those present were invited to join this ministry.

After welcoming remarks by the Panama NCM Coordinator, Rev. Sol de Vergara, the District Superintendent, Rev. Carlos de la Cruz led the audience in a prayer for the families of Panama and the world.

Ms. Rosa Saenz gave the first workshop, which spoke about love, commitment and spiritual faithfulness, the importance of parental example and family unity.

Mesoamerica Regional Director, Dr. Carlos Saenz gave the second workshop which urged the husbands to love their wives and children. Dr. Saenz challenged parents to be fair with the children and teach them to love; he motivated children to honor their parents.

Dr. Jess Soulia, member of the Flint Central Church of the Nazarene, shared the third workshop; translated by Brother Hiram Galvez, Mesoamerica Region missionary, brother Jess shared his testimony and gave a talk about open doors by the Lord.

Children of different centers shared special participation of folk songs, choreographies and others.

The Siloé Band from El Progreso Church of the Nazarene delighted the audience with a native Panamanian song.

It was a beautiful time where families were ministered and touched by the Lord’s presence.

“We thank God for the life of the Saenz Family and Brother Jess and we ask Him to greatly bless them in their ministries to continue to be a blessing to all the Mesoamerica Region families ”
