On Sunday August 16th, 2015, Costa Rican Helen Herrera, a volunteer missionary for the “GENESIS” regional project, which was assigned to serve in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, returned to Costa Rica.

Helen shared the following about her service and return to the country: “In January, I went to San Pedro Sula with the Genesis Project for two years, but during my stay there I discovered that my calling was not merely a missionary calling. I prayed and sought God’s guidance. A month and a half ago I felt peace to talk to my Global Mission coordinators and asked permission to return to my country. The reasons for my return are due to a ministerial calling and personal family matters. I am very grateful for the seven months that God allowed me to serve in Honduras. Now the city of San Pedro Sula and of course the beautiful people I had the privilege of knowing, have a special place in my heart. I can now call them my family in the faith. I am infinitely grateful to all the churches and people who supported my ministry with their offerings and prayers, my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory. Now, I’m here in Costa Rica again ready to meet the will of my Lord. ”

Scott Armstrong, GENESIS coordinator said: “We thank Helen for her ministry in Honduras and Genesis in the last seven months. We also thank all the churches that have given and prayed for her. Our hope is that those who have supported continue to do so and that the process of supporting and sending missionaries becomes natural and contagious. ”

Keep praying for the missionary project in the region, GENESIS, which is also sustained by the prayers of God’s people.
