From January 5th to the 8th, 2017, the Cerro Grande Church of the Nazarene NYI in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, held its annual “HISTORY MAKERS – NEW SEASON” camp with the participation of 55 people who gathered at the BAGOPE Camp, in Yojoa Lake. Young people from the first Church of the Nazarene of Comayagua joined this camp. A special guest represented the Guatemalan NYI.

Conferences, workshops, group activities, debates, quizzing and organized games were the activities that brought the challenge, hope and training of the Holy Spirit so that each young person could partner with God in changing the history of their own lives. A cultural tour of the archaeological park Los Naranjos was also part of this time.

Brother Marco Cáceres was the director of the camp and led the team of leaders and collaborators. For its part, the local NYI Council, led by its president, Sister Priscilla Mena, was involved in all activities.

Pastor José Ramón Montoya, Pastor Gerardo Aguilar and Sister Ruth Campos gave the main lectures. It is worth mentioning that on the night of Saturday, January 7th, the activity was carried out with the SOULARIM, a personal evangelism and introspection tool provided by CRU (Student and Professional Crusade for Christ) , which brought blessing to the spiritual health of the young people. At the end of the event, 7 youths made a decision for the Lord Jesus Christ and the rest became more committed to the Lord.

We bless the Lord for the youth in our country as well as in the entire Mesoamerica Region. We encourage each young person to continue making history as they hold the hand of the Lord Jesus Christ, allowing Him to be the writer and guide of our lives.
