The Guatemala Coban North District welcomed 420 youth who attended the “Transform Yourself” camp directed by the district Nazarene Youth International (NYI). The event took place April 16-18 at the facilities of the Church of the Nazarene in the town of “Pequixul,” Carchá, Alta Verapaz.
During the camp, three young people gave their lives to the Lord and many others reconciled to the Lord. Many of them were also filled with the Holy Spirit.
¨We know the importance attending to and preparing the youth who are important in the advances of our Church of the Nazarene,¨ said District Superintendent Pedro F. Quim Ico.
Rev. Francisco Heriberto Cho Si, Guatemala Verapaz North District Superintendent, served as the preacher and invited speaker. ¨Followers of Jesus,¨ a youth band from the Setaña Church of the Nazarene, led the music.
¨We thank God for all he is doing in our district and we trust that he will help us continue to fulfill the great commission to be and to make Christ-like disciples in our community.” Said Rev. Pedro Quim. “To God be the glory!”
