The Genesis site coordinator in Grenada, Rev. Samuel Pile of Barbados arrived in Grenada on Monday, August 7th and found the Church at Fontenoy and the new site at Content enjoying a sports day together.

The Church of the Nazarene opened its doors for worship and meeting the needs of the community in the village of Content on August 13, 2017 to the glory of God with an attendance of over 65 persons, amongst them 38 local residents of Content.

Following that opening service they celebrated three nights of an “Encounter” event where the emphasis was on the importance of living holy lives. During these services, a total of 6 persons committed their lives to the Lord Jesus. “The attendance at these services so far has been very encouraging and I foresee tremendous growth coming out of this Church in the future.” Rev. Pile shared. “Genesis missionary Cleon Cadogan is working very closely with the community and I must say thanks to him for his labour of love in this venture.  May God pour out blessings aplenty on him; it’s been a joy working with him.”

Keep praying for the Church of the Nazarene in Content, Grenada as they look towards baptism, membership and discipleship training in the weeks ahead!

“In closing I am asking us to be in prayer for new pastors for these Churches that will be launched in Grenada in the near future.  The days of only one Nazarene Church in Grenada are over.” Rev. Pile said.
