The Church of the Nazarene is growing in a miraculous measure in Haiti. 1000 Churches are needed in Haiti right now.  Last church year there were almost 900 new preaching points (new baby churches) in Haiti. This is growth of almost 40% over the previous year.

In order to make effort to keep up with the growing demand, last year Work & Witness Haiti started the Patio Church project. So far, in the fist year we built or funded 24 of these structures.
The question has been asked, “What is the next step after these new congregations have outgrown the Patio Church?”

Our response to this question is that Work & Witness Haiti is now starting a new project called, “The Chapel Factory”. The Chapel Factory concept builds steel columns and trusses in the factory then transports them along with the roofing material to the project site where they are built in 2 – 3 days. The local congregation will dig the holes and prepare the land before the material arrives. After the structure is completed, the local members will finish the building by putting up the blocks and finishing the floor when they have the resources available.

Construction will start on the factory this year with plans to start manufacturing trusses and columns soon after that.

Please continue to follow us on Facebook to keep up with the progress of the factory:  https://www.facebook.com/wwhaiti/?fref=ts
