Late August 2014, the Jesus Film was presented in the Indian village, Yalicar, Franja Occidental District, Alta Verapaz Guatemala. An average of fifteen families were blessed when for the first time they were able to watch a film on a screen. There was an extraordinary response; 5 adults and 10 children made a decision to change their lives and follow Jesus.

The purpose of the presentations was to establish preaching points to then form a Church of the Nazarene in these inaccessible remote villages.

Brother Arnoldo Juarez, church planter, shared the following testimony:

It was a very challenging experience, because to get to this place we had to meet first with the Cocode (village chief), to allow us to present the “Jesus” film in quekchí language. It was awesome for everyone because they had never had the opportunity to see a movie in their language. I felt grateful to God for allowing me to be in this ministry and bring the word of peace to all these families. The Glory be to our Lord Jesus!
