On Friday, 24 April 2014, the leaders of Puerto Rico were reunited in order to start the training. Rev. Samuel Pérez was in charge of the sermon, and the worship ministry, led by the Levittown Church of the Nazarene, led us as we exalted the name of Jesus. It was a marvelous and enthusiastic time that helped prepare us for the next day.

On Saturday, we started with registration, and when registration had closed, approximately 115 people had registered, including youth and adults.

Rev. Monte Cyr taught on the importance of caring for all areas of our lives when we lead. We give priority to work, but it is also very important to set aside time for our families, take care of our spiritual and physical health, make wise financial choices, and maintain a good balance in our lives.

The workshops gave us the tools to lead with the pressures of daily living and the power to successfully complete our mission: to make Christlike Disciples. We also had as a guest Ramón “RIP MAN” who taught from God’s Word in a very creative way by painting a mural with spray paint.

Thanks to every leader who participated in the workshops. The Puerto Rico SDMI thanks Rev. Monte Cyr, Rev. Samuel Hernández, the Levittown Church of the Nazarene, the committee coordinator, and every person who in one form or other worked together to make the workshops a success.
God bless you.
