The Tuschen Church of the Nazarene in Guayana welcomed a total of 224 children to its annual Vacation Bible School from Aug. 20-24.

Every day the children sang, heard Bible Stories, learned memory verses and participated in crafts and other activities. During the week, 49 children gave their lives to Christ. On the final day the children and volunteers held a Grand Road March into the community of Tuschen. They sang and marched to the beat of drums to share about Jesus with their neighbors.

As a part of the activities, 58 children received backpacks and school supplies in an effort organized by Pastor Augustus Andrews.

Sunday School Superintendent Fiona Roberts led a team of 17 volunteers to make the event a success, along with the direction of Pastor Augustus Andrews.

The busy week concluded Friday with a game night hosted by NYI. Twenty-two youth attended.

“We are truly grateful to God for using us to impact children who are the future of His church,” Roberts said.
