From January 21st to the 29th, 2017, a Maximum Mission was held in the village of Los Cerritos, Petén, Guatemala. The Work and Witness and Global Mission ministries of the North Central Field joined to install the roof of the church’s sanctuary in that village, as well as to share the message of salvation.

Fifteen youth from different districts of the Church of the Nazarene of Guatemala served together with the Work and Witness group of Springdale Ohio, USA. As a result, more than 150 children were discipled, 25 women participated in a craft workshop and almost in its entirety, the village heard the message of salvation, through house-to-house evangelism and the “Jesus” film in their native Quekchí language.

It is noteworthy that some villagers were involved in the installation of the sanctuary’s roof even without being believers.

Glory to God for what he has done in this community, let us pray that God will bless the seed that has been planted and that the gospel will continue to expand in other communities.
