With the help of the Central Church of the Nazarene, Flint, MI, USA and volunteers from the Panama Central District, the Church of the Nazarene held a medical outreach Feb. 5-8 in various communities in the Panama Central District. They offered: vital sign review, general medicine, pharmacy services and optometry. The medical professionals attended the medical needs of 500 people, and volunteers shared the gospel with them.

The communities the group visited were: La Industrial, Playa Chiquita, Nueva Esperanza and Comarca de Wagandi, the Tabardi community and the Guna area of Panama. The Guna area is an island in the Bayano Lake. There is no health center on the island, and there is great need there. The community and their leader, called “el Saila,” were grateful for the group’s work.

Work and Witness Coordinator Eliezel Soto would like to thank Pastor Rob Prince, Dr. Jack Stoker and the teams from the church in Flint. He is also grateful to the Panama Central District for their hard work. He asks for prayers for the volunteers, the church and the district.
