Encuentro 2018 begins June 30 in Guatemala and Costa Rica. Teams from the USA and Canada will travel to both countries to serve the needs of the church.

Encuentro offers opportunities to serve in missions for youth and families. During the last 50 years, they have facilitated trips to the USA, Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas and Peru. More than 250,000 students have participated, and as a result, more than 2 million children and adults have heard the message of the gospel.

The teams will arrive for the first time to Guatemala and Costa Rica. Both countries will receive the groups over two sessions: June 30 – July 7, and July 7- July 14.

The teams that serve in Guatemala will be based at the Center for Christian Conventions in Guatemala City. The teams in Costa Rica will work in the city of San Jose and the outskirts, with their home base at the Nazarene Seminary of the Americas. The teams, along with local churches in both countries, will offer Vacation Bible Schools, sports camps, and other activities to the communities. They also plan light construction projects and church planting.

The groups are arriving now in both countries. Pray for those who are still traveling and also for the event and the impact it will have on the life of the church
