From July 15th to the 18th, 2015, Mexico NYI celebrated its national camp (JUNAMEX) at the premises of Dorado’s Club in Oaxtepec, Morelos. More than 800 young people from all districts of the country gathered for four days to celebrate. “Comeback” was the name of the camp: an invitation to return to our Christian roots and recognize our doctrinal Wesleyan heritage.

Dr. Gustavo Crocker, General Superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene was the keynote speaker. Also present were Dr. Carlos Saenz (Mesoamerica Regional Director), Milton Gay (Mesoamerica NYI Regional Coordinator), Dr. Jorge Cordova (Mexico FSC) and Brooklyn Lindsey (Global Coordinator of Justice Movement), among other special guests.

JUNAMEX was full of fun and fellowship times, ideal for meeting friends and form new relationships. There were moments of musical bliss with concert nights with Timmy Ost and Coalo Zamorano, youth leaders in Latin America. There were learning time, with Wesleyan plenaries where everyone participated and learned something new for their life. Worship times were wonderful and full of blessings and joy.

Furthermore, the twenty-fifth National Meeting of Youth Bible Quiz, was held. The South Pacific District was crowned champion.

God is very good and gave us a great time. Now, we’ve all gone home and want to be part of the blessing that God has for NYI around our beautiful country.
