Mexico Northeast NYI Recognizes Gary Hartke, NYI Director

From May 18^th to 22^nd of this year, the “Biblical and Philosophical Bases of Youth Ministry” course, from the Youth Pastoral Ministry Certification, was held in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico Northeast District, with Rev. Gary Hartke, Global NYI Director as professor.

It was a time of great benefit for the 22 youth leaders that attended to learn about the history and fundamentals of youth ministry. The course concluded with a special event on Saturday May 23^rd, where the Monterrey area NYI joined to celebrate Christ and recognize the work of the Rev. Gary, who served for 16 years in youth ministry in the Church of the Nazarene.

Fabiola Sanchez, Mexico Field coordinator presented the award and also shared a brief overview of the life and ministry of the Director.

The event concluded with a special prayer for Brother Gary. Afterwards, the official photo of the 2015 Monterrey Zone was taken.
