This past Tuesday November 3, 2015, Missionary Kids (MKs), Abby Slingerland (parents: Bernie and Rhonda Slingerland) and Joshua Lopez (parents: Edwin and Wendy Lopez), serving in the Mesoamerica Region, living in Panama, represented their country of service in a national parade in honor of Panama’s Independence Day festivities.
Abby held the highest honor of the 2015 senior class and was chosen by Crossroads Christian Academy to carry the Panamanian flag at the parade. Two years ago, Hannah Slingerland (Abby’s sister) received the same honor.
Joshua was part of the drum line. “It was an honor to participate in the parade and celebrate with all of Panama its independence”, said Joshua Lopez.
