On September 5th this year, The Mexico FSC, Dr. Jorge Cordova appointed Edgar Manuel Corzo as the new Mexico Field NYI Coordinator, who will take office next November 1st, 2016.

Edgar Corzo was born on January 21st, 1984, in the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico. He is the oldest of four children; his parents are Edgar Corzo and Febe Garcia. His wife is Areli Ramirez, whom he married on January 30, 2016. He graduated in Educational Sciences in Physics and Mathematics. He also completed a Master of Science in Mathematics Education.

He began attending Puerta del Cielo Church of the Nazarene in Tuxtla Gutierrez in 2000 at the age of 17 and the following year publicly confessed his faith in Jesus Christ through baptism. He served as a volunteer missionary for 5 months in the Border Initiative program in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, in late 2006 and early 2007. In the year 2010 his call to pastoral ministry was confirmed and a year later, he entered the Mexican Nazarene Seminary to pursue a degree in Pastoral Theology. He will graduate from the seminary in January 2017.

He has served in youth ministry for the past 14 years in various instances; he served as NYI president from 2010 to 2012 in the Mexico South District and director of the National Youth Bible Quizzing Committee North Mexico Field from 2014 to 2016. On April 20th, 2013, he was installed by Elder Eduardo Duque Madrid as a Youth Pastor at the Puerta del Cielo Church of the Nazarene, ministry he holds until now.
