In unity and support of the New Hope Church of the Nazarene, two doctors and two nurses from the Community Health Center traveled to La Carbonera community, department of Madriz, in the Nicaragua Northern District, on October 27, 2015 to provide medical assistance. Eighty-one people were treated and medicines were also supplied. On September 29th, they went to the houses in the community removing objects that are breeding grounds for mosquitoes and giving lectures on how to fight diseases.

The Church of the Nazarene helped with the transportation of medical personnel and provided the facilities for medical appointments.

The “New Hope” church continues to work in partnership with the health ministry to help people in the community suffering from various diseases, especially the outbreak of Chikungunya.
