On May 21, 2014, a pastoral continuing education began in Baja Verapaz District, Guatemala. 39 pastors attended the event where they were trained for better service, they also received a visit from the mayor of the city and a representative of the municipal police, they came to talk about safety issues and to seek mutual support in favor of the people who are going through difficult times of violence. Pastors had a special time of prayer for municipal leaders, they asked for God’s protection and blessing.

The pastoral continuing education theme was Pastoral Counseling, taught by pastors: Trent Hunter and Ken Wesslman from U.S. and missionary Rodrigo Barrera. Pastor Othniel Chon organized the activity in coordination with the District Superintendent Cuquej Francisco.
