From May 5th to the 7th, 2014, a pastoral continuing education seminar was held in Ixcan District, Guatemala. We had an attendance of 22 ministers. Francisco Cuquej, Baja Verapaz District Superintendent, who was invited to lead the seminar, said that the presence of Pastor Mary Maquim was very special to the group, and that the female leadership is recently rising in this area of the country.

They listened and worked on the topics of: “Administrative Proceedings” and “Pastor’s Annual Plan.”

Ixcan District Superintendent, Rev. Hector Cas was the event coordinator.

Rev. Cuquej shared “… it was a time of strength, rest in the Lord and renewal of ministerial commitments. It was a time of spiritual refreshment and learning. We finished with a challenge to the pastors. All were very grateful. The honor and glory be to our God. ”
