The Costa Rica Central District received a 14 people Work and Witness team from the Richfield Church of the Nazarene in Michigan, USA. They came to serve in the “Dios de Gracia” Church of the Nazarene at Fatima de Heredia.

The Lord blessed the church and the community with the participation of this group. Pastor Javier of the “Dios de Gracia” Church of the Nazarene has been ministering to students in a school near the church for 4 months. One day, the W&W team joined in the work with the students. In the morning they ministered to the kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade children. It was a blessed and fun time with games, Bible lessons and the sharing of the plan of salvation through the “Evangelistic Bracelet” craft. In the afternoon, they ministered to the 4th, 5th and 6th grader. They showed the Jesus film and also had a craft time.

On Saturday, they went out to invite people in need for the Sunday worship service. On Sunday, the church joyfully received 25 homeless people who were given a free lunch and clothing.

Also, with the help of the team, the church now has a roof in the back of the sanctuary so that there is more space for Sunday school and other children’s events. Also, the team helped with the remodeling of the church’s 2 bathrooms. They also helped with other projects and improvements to the sanctuary. The Lord blessed them in all that was done.

We thank God for the Work and Witness ministry, for its leaders and for each team member that comes to bless the church and communities in our region.
