For the fourth consecutive year, from July 18th to August 7th, 2016, the Mexico South Border District carried out “Project Paul “.
Five volunteers missionaries, supported by 4 missions leaders and youth of the same, worked in 4 missions where they held: Maximum Missions, free medical consultations, haircuts, among others. They also completed the construction of the health center that was suspended for several years due to lack of resources. They also rebuilt the roof of the house of a poor man with sick children who reconciled with the Lord. About 130 people were visited, 30 of them decided to follow Jesus. Besides, God confirmed the call to ministry in many of the young participants.

The Global Mission coordinator and project coordinator of the Southern Border District is Sister Miriam Olivera; the evangelism coordinator is her pastor Juan Carlos Estrada. The volunteers missionaries were: David Velasco from the South District; Edgar Santiago from the Gulf District; Alison Cardona, Guadalupe Lopez and Elia Mendoza from the South Border District and the support missionaries were: Pastor A. Quiroga from the May 5 CTM; Miriam Zepeda from the Mission Canada; Andrea Lopez from the Mission Gate of Heaven; Ari Tercero from the Mission Metapa.

Paul Project is a strategy of mission development and planting of new churches, inspired by the way that the Apostle Paul served. It is held over a 21-day period in which a group of volunteer missionaries respond to the challenge of planting a new church where the gospel or the Church of the Nazarene has not yet arrived, or they work on consolidating Missions Type Churches (MTC) and sometimes they restart organized churches.

With the work that was done this year, it is expected that the missions can be organized as Mission Type Churches.
We thank God for the people who were part of this project. It has been a great blessing to the communities of the Mexico South Border District.
