On January 10th to 12th, 2014, we conducted a NYI Holiness Retreat in a beautiful mountain in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico West District, the event was named “Connection Available” with its theme “Do not quench the Spirit” based on 1 Thessalonians 5:19.

About 80 young people received this powerful message shared by Missionary Scott Armstrong, Global Mission Coordinator and Project Genesis Mesoamerica Region, who spoke about  “Holiness: Instant and Process” and “Give yourself and Surrender.”

Young people testified about how they experienced the presence of God in a special way. Others testified to have been sanctified at that same hour. Ricardo Gonzales, district NYI president shared “The retreat gave us the opportunity to strengthen ties of friendship with Pastor Scott, who with his humility and friendliness won the love, admiration and respect of the participants.”

During the retreat, it was evident the support of the District Superintendent and Pastor Raymond Sierra, as well as several pastors from the district. The retreat was organized by the NYI District Council, which gave glory to God for being able to serve in such significant event in the lives of the young people.
