Submitted by Ruth López Aguilar – SDIM Coordinator, Mexico South

The leaders’ training, sponsored by the Mexico South Field SDMI, was held at the “Centro de Educación Ministerial” of the Nazarene Seminary of Mexico in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, México, from 28-29 March, 2014.

81 people attended from the following districts:
SUR: 49; OLMECA: 15; SUR FRONTERIZO: 12; SUR PACÍFICO: 3; SIERRA: 1; ORIENTE: 1

In attendance were members of the District SDMI Council, members of local SDMI Councils, Directors of local church Ministries, 12 pastors, 2 District Superintendents. Also in attendance was our Field Strategy coordinator, Rev. René Jiménez Guzmán.

The two days were filled with a devotional by sister Ruth López Aguilar, SDMI Coordinator for the Mexico South Field, 6 leadership workshops taught by the Mesoamerica Region Discipleship Ministries Coordinator Rev. Monte Cyr, wonderful food, great times of worship (led by Josué y Daniel Villatoro), testimonies and a time of intercessory prayer led by sister Angélica Madrid Díaz, and a wonderful message by Rev. René Jiménez.

Many thanks to the Mexico South District for the use of the facilities and their help with many of the activities, and to each volunteer who worked so wonderfully. A special thanks to Sofy Aguilar for her great interpretation, Alma Chávez and Rosy Manchinelli for their help with the book table, and Francisco Borralles for all of his great work. And thank you to the Revs Monte Cyr and Jiménez Guzmán for their contributions in teaching and leading.

We pray to our Lord Jesus Christ that we will be able to put into practice these lessons in each of our local church ministries, in order to grow spiritually and numerically in the Kingdom of God.
