On Saturday, October 17th, the Iglesia del Nazareno Bet-El from the community of Secomun de San Pedro Carchá, Guatemala, celebrated the baptism of 17 people.

Pastor Efraín Xol led the baptism, along with the district superintendent, Rev. Francisco Cho Si, and both welcomed this group of new believers. “It was a rainy day that reminded us of the Lord’s grace that is poured out over the church even in times of pandemic,” said Rev. Cho.

The group traveled about 30 kilometers that morning to perform the baptism in a river that, “reminded us of the words of Jesus: ‘Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them,’” said Pastor Cho.

“We give glory to God for driving the church with the Holy Spirit to continue working. The fruit of new people for the fold indicates to us that the church is still alive and fulfilling the mission that God has entrusted us with in these times of conflict, but also of faith,” he ended.
