The Casa Unida Foundation along with the Church of the Nazarene donated water filters to 126 families in 4 Nicaraguan communities from Feb. 28 to Mar. 2, 2018. The recipients live in the rural communities of San Antonio de Padua, Motuse, Los Ranchos, and the town of Somoto in the Madriz department.

On the day of delivery, local pastors in each community led a devotional time in which they welcomed the visitors and said thank you for the donation that demonstrated the love of Christ.

Pastor Santo Lopez Casco, of the San Antonio Church of the Nazarene, said, “Thank you very much to the brothers and sisters for making this delivery. With this project you came to help us to better our health, especially the health of our children, through pure, clean water.” Pastors Gloria Carrasco of Motuse and Mercedes Viscay of Los Ranchos spoke in a similar fashion.
