With the aim of strengthening youth, pastoral and local church ministries and promoting unity among churches, members of the Nazarene Youth International (NYI) council in the northern district of Nicaragua toured Nazarene churches in Esteli, San Isidro and Soledad de la Cruz on August 11th and 12th.

The tour began at the Jireh church in Esteli, where a Vacation Bible School (VBS) was held with the participation of 41 children and 20 adults. Afterwards, the team went to the Church in the El Jocote community, where a VBS was also held, with the participation of 30 children and 15 adults. In both, the children sang, did crafts, and studied the life of Moses and the 10 Commandments.

There were also three joint services at the San Isidro and Esteli churches and in the Tatascame community. Some 400 Nazarenes gathered to worship the Lord together and promote unity and fellowship between the participants. The Word of God was delivered by the District Superintendent Reverend Ángel Denis Espinoza Sandoval and missionary Jenny Diaz, who serves at the Seminario Nazareno de las Américas in Costa Rica.

As a result of this, seven children and one young man received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, and two persons recomitted their lives to the Lord.
