On February 19th, 2017, the Faro de Luz Church of the Nazarene in the community of Sonís, Somoto, Nicaragua North District, celebrated the inauguration of a new sanctuary. The festive activities began with a powerful worship service, in which there was special music, choreography, testimonies and the powerful message of the Word of God.

The building, 18 meters long by 10 meters wide, was filled with the presence of Nazarenes from the churches: Nueva Esperanza, La Segunda Bendición, Hermanos Martínez, Melonar, El Nuevo Comienzo, Rodeo Nº 1 and Sonís. About 250 people attended the dedication service.

There was also the presence and participation of brothers: Don Allen Blanchard, pastor of Polisade Church of the Nazarene in Colorado, USA, and William Robert Moore, president of the United Home Foundation. Pastor Blanchard was in charge of the message, while Brother Moore gave greetings on behalf of the foundation he presides over. This Foundation provided the funds and manpower for this construction.

The congregation in Sonís is relatively new, but it already has 18 members in full membership and 6 associate members.
